Sammy Madrid

OWNER

With a vision for building something meaningful, our founder and owner Sammy brings a blend of big-picture thinking and over a decade of hands-on experience.
Sammy sets the tone for everything we do at Ocean Construction: he coordinates on site building, manages our hard working crew and gets the job done. He’s a graduate of Deering High School in Portland, where he was a stand-out athlete.
When he’s not swinging a hammer, Sammy is riding his motorcycle, hanging out with friends and family, visiting new cities in Maine, or trying new restaurants.
Zack Barowitz

BUSINESS MANAGER/PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR

Zack has worked in the trades since 1992, both in the field and then as a project and general manager.
He has over a decade of experience as a property manager and GM in Southern Maine. He’s focused, approachable, communicative, and driven by results.
Zack is all about building strong relationships, listening to clients, and interfacing between crews, suppliers, and all the paperwork. He helps connect people to the right solutions. He holds a B.A. in Urban Design.
Adam Hernández

FOREMAN/LEAD CARPENTER

Creative and skilled in all aspects of home building, renovation and construction, Adam can do it all.
With a decade of hands-on, in the field experience, Adam is a valuable asset to our team.
When he’s not working on your dream home, he’s at the beach or spending time with his family.
